Hello and welcome to this weeks Substack. This week there is a focus on working with your intuition, intuitive writing and the intuitive nudges we receive throughout our days.
I have recently signed up to
’s soul circle, its a writing group perfect for the soul. I joined because I have taken part in a number of Beth’s courses before and I have really enjoyed them. Many of the pieces of poetry you will find in the letters for the seasons have been written in the writing sanctuaries held by Beth. I also wanted to join to carve out some time each month for my own writing, explore new topics and to stretch my usual way of doing things.Creative Expression
Writing has always been a source of creative expression for me. The pen, a tool for bridging the gap between my inner world and the outside world. Writing has often helped me to express what I am feeling in a way that I cannot articulate through speech. Through writing there is the courage to leave my inner world behind, step out of my circle of safety into the world to be seen, heard and understood. I always hope that my words reach somebody that needs them, and they understand that they are never alone and that there is always an answer, there is always a light at the end of a difficult tunnel.
I love writing intuitively, I can always tell the difference in my own writing when its come from a place of intuit. My words have a different tone and texture with words flowing at a pace with no pauses. Some days I will wake up in the morning and hold a knowing that there is something there to be written, even though I never really know what that is until the point the pen hits the paper, or I start to type on a computer or use notes on my phone. Occasionally, a little encouragement is needed, words coaxed out by the warmth and flicker of the dancing flame of a candle, or the spark from the rising sun, touching my face in the garden, with the birdsong as my rhythm for writing.
Intuitive Nudges
Sometimes our intuitive nudges are there for us, sometimes they are there to be brought out into the world around. At first they may make no sense, but if you sit with them long enough, allow them to morph and shape into something else, they will knit together to become something tangible that we can bring to the outside world. We just have to trust them, allow them the space to grow. Those nudges can often encourage us to step outside our circle of safety, it can feel over whelming and make us fear the worst. Yet within the fear is the invitation to dig deep, find the faith and courage to take that first step of what feels outside of the safe boundaries we have created for ourselves. Even when we feel its just too much to take that first step, we can break it all down into small manageable pieces. I often find writing everything down, entering into a process of self enquiry and self study that I can manoeuvre around anything that feels difficult with grace and ease. Writing is a blessing and helps me move beyond the circle of safety.
